Perfect if you want Geisha from one of Panama's most awarded estates — at its most elegant, refined expression.

From One of Panama's Most Celebrated Plantations

Las Brujas is a secluded parcel within the Kotowa estate, perched on the El Salto plateau on the western slopes of Volcán Barú. The name means "The Witches" — and there's something almost magical about what this land produces. The combination of extreme altitude, cool temperatures, misty cloud cover, and rich volcanic soil creates a microclimate where Geisha develops slowly, building intense sweetness and aromatic complexity that has made this lot a consistent Best of Panama performer.

The Kotowa Legacy

Kotowa is a four-generation family estate founded in 1913 by Canadian immigrant Alexander Duncan MacIntyre. Today it's led by Ricardo Koyner — the current President of the Specialty Coffee Association of Panama (SCAP) — and his daughter Victoria. The farm has won multiple Best of Panama awards, the 2016 Best Producer Panama Cup, and was named Panama's Environmentally Cleanest Industry in 2006. UNICEF has recognized Kotowa's social programs for workers' families for nine consecutive years.

Flavor Profile

Geisha at its most elegant. The cup opens with vivid floral aromas — jasmine and orange blossom — followed by layers of tropical fruit, sweet citrus, and hints of passion fruit. The body is light and silky, with a tea-like clarity that lingers. As the cup cools, the sweetness deepens and new fruit notes emerge.

Hand-Picked Excellence

Every cherry at Las Brujas is 100% handpicked. Harvesters return up to five times per season to select only the ripest fruit. The beans are rested for at least two months after processing to develop full flavor, and every batch is cupped before release.
